This week I had the great joy of photographing the lovely Anna and Paul's wedding day. I never take for granted how blessed I am to participate in such special moments in peoples lives but this week I was reminded of why I love my job, between babies and weddings I am extremely privileged to play a roll in capturing these special moments they can look back on throughout their life!
Paul and Anna got married on a Tuesday at the stunning Guildford Hotel. I can not recommend this venue enough for any couple looking for a place to hold their wedding. Not only is it stunning to photograph but the staff are so helpful and accommodating, I walked away seriously impressed with their wedding coordinator!
Never had I met a more organized calm bridal party :-) when I arrived the bridesmaids had everything I could want to photograph beautifully laid out for me ready to go, with the bride all ready and looking stunning there was nothing left but for the bridal party to kick back and share a drink together while the kids jump about happily.
But my favorite moment had to be at the ceremony. A mixture between watching the groom tear up when he saw his beautiful bride enter or when he called the brides young son up to make vows to him also. I've got to admit you had me in tears, Paul. It was a beautiful ceremony conducted by Phil Ayres who again I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a celebrant.
After the ceremony we found so many little corners and spots within the hotel it's self for photos, exploring it all we then headed down the road to the Anglican church grounds and the old post office in Guildford for some outdoor photos. When I said to the groomsmen I want you to hold Paul while Anna tries to get him back off you, the groomsmen piped up, She won't WIN and took his tug of war so very seriously lol. I think however he well and truly lost his groom quite some time ago :-)
Congratulations Paul and Anna, on your beautiful wedding day, We wish you every happiness in your future together.
